The “Resampling” mobile app for iOS/Android allows obtaining bootstrap confidence intervals and permutation P-values, following a “learning-by-seeing” approach. During the session, I will screencast from my smartphone/tablet and explain how teaching resampling topics is implemented. Participants are encouraged to try out a resampling procedures using their own or pre-implemented data on their own devices, which is quick and effortless, and give feedback on their experiences. Questions range from how various procedures may help in building understanding, when students should be engaged in resampling procedures in an intro course, and the practicality of using a mobile app in lecturing and learning.
